![]() He says to Abide in Him and he will remain in us. I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. John 15:5 Abide: accept or act in accordance with (a rule, decision, or recommendation). synonyms: comply with, obey, observe, follow, keep to, hold to, conform to, adhere to, stick to, stand by, act in accordance with, uphold, heed, pay attention to, agree to/with, consent to, accede to, accept, acquiesce in, go along with, acknowledge, respect, defer to ( dictionary) strong's #3306: meno (pronounced men'-o)hebrew a primary verb; to stay (in a given place, state, relation or expectancy):--abide, continue, dwell, endure, be present, remain, stand, tarry (for), X thine own. I often think about my walk with the Abba, and Jesus and Holy Spirit. His Love is unconditional, it is unending, overwhelming, forgiving, merciful, gracious, correcting, because he corrects those whom he loves, just as a parent teaches a child, not to run out into a heavily trafficked road. Because He wants what is Best for us. I can’t find enough words to define Him. Because it is who and what He is. Absolute, complete Love. Overwhelming!!! If I am cut off from the vine, which is life giving. I am unable to be sustained. I will wither and die. I know that sounds harsh right? But, if I can be pruned in due season, spring and fall and maybe even sometimes in winter, I am able to grow even more, and stay alive in the vine and be more fruitful than ever when harvest time comes. More times than not I have come to believe that my hardest seasons of “pruning” have been the most fruitful. Not, that I have not wandered off course and been out of the vine. The amazing thing is, when we; as in the definition above. Accept, make a decision, defer to, respect, acknowledge, accede to, consent. He is gracious to graft us in.. My heart is to dwell, remain, tarry, stay adhere, go along.. I know after many years, many scrapes, bruises, scars, and many triumphs, laughter and joys. That it can not be done alone. I must be in Him and He in me and Me in the Body of Christ. Each of us has a unique beautiful purpose, each and every day. And our broken branches, pruned in and out of season, grafted in, create the most beautiful vineyard to gaze upon. Abba Father, I pray that you will use all of our beautiful broken branches, and create the most amazing vineyard. One that burst forth with New wine. Not that of old bitterness or anger and resentment. But of Love and forgiveness and Grace and mercy and reconciliation. In Jesus name Amen
